I only pay £70 every 2 years for my website, which believe me is incredible. For this I get a free domain name (the www.yourcompany.com bit) when I sign up and an incredibly generous and complete hosting service for just £2.91/mo which includes:
This is all offered in their Personal Plan but if you feel the business option would be better for you then you can choose that if you wish. To find out more about what they offer visit TSO Hosting UK
You might not know what all of that is or means but that doesn’t really matter. The point is, you can start your blog or small business today for just £70 and have more than enough of everything to get started.
There is no need to get a business website, or to pay a huge amount per month for your hosting, it can all be done here in the UK for just £70 every 2 years (yes that’s TWO years).
I have been running my website and hundreds of my clients websites with these hosts now for over 5 years. The service is excellent and I have found NOBODY that comes anywhere near them on price compared to service.
But I can get a free website from wix
Yes, you most certainly can, but everyone will know it’s free because it will say @wix.com in your domain name. If you want your business to be seen as credible then you really need to invest in a domain of your own and be self-hosted.
You need your blog or business website to reflect you and if you present the world with a free website then what does that say about you and your business. Believe me, it won’t help with engagement or sales.
But I’ve never heard of them, how do I know they are any good?
Excellent question and the only way you will really know this is to compare them to some of the other, better known, hosting services. I have included links for you below so that you can quickly visit them and check them for yourself.
So, the prices might seem similar but the services do vary and the more you look into it, the more confusing it becomes.
If you are like me, you want someone to recommend something they have tried and tested and know to be good. Like I said, I have used these guys for years and the service is excellent too. I would also point out that unlike most of the other cheaper options, TSO back up your website every night so that if the worst happens you have only lost one day’s input.
Of course, at the end of the day it’s your decision, and to be honest, every one of these providers offer excellent service and will look after your website for you day in and day out and so I am happy to recommend any one of them which is why I have included them in this post.
Just visit them all, have a look around at what they offer for the money and make your decision. If you are UK based then TSO are also UK based which is why they charge in pounds and not dollars. Visit TSO Here.
I hope this has given you some idea of who or what to go for and if so then I would really appreciate it if you could share the information so that others can benefit from it too. There are some popular social links below which I would be grateful if you could use to spread the word.
Good luck and best wishes
Marketing and small businesses don’t go together very well. Small business owners have to spend their money wisely and marketing is often seen as an expense rather than an investment. Should this be the case though? Let’s explore…
When money is tight you have to choose carefully, where you are going to spend and where you are going to save. This often leads to us making wrong choices and decisions because we are looking at things in a totally monetary way and this is sometimes not the best way of looking at your business.
For example. ABC.com has just started up. It is a home business that is being worked on around family and other work commitments. It has minimal start up capital (just the price of a website and hosting) and is looking to make a profit before it starts to market itself in any meaningful way.
ABC feel that they can promote themselves online through Instagram, Facebook and other social media sites. They also feel that their website is going to bring in enough traffic for them to gain customers. They feel that there is not enough money in the budget for them to pay for Google or Facebook Adverts at this time.
Are they right?
Well the honest answer is yes, and no. First let’s look at why they are right…
Facebook and Google can cost a lot of money if you are going to run a half decent advertising campaign. It is going to save them a lot of money by promoting their business organically as far as they can.
It is also worth considering that if you are not a marketer and don’t know the first thing about copy writing then you should definitely not be wasting your money trying to advertise in this way as a badly put together advert is not going to get you any customers.
They are also right to assume that there are still free ways of promoting their business online using social media platforms. Posting to Facebook pages and LinkedIn profiles and other similar sites can be very good at getting your message out to your ideal customer.
Now let’s look at why they are NOT right.
Promoting a business on any of the social media sites is pretty much a full time job now if you are going to do it right and get noticed. Facebook are no longer letting you promote your business for free on their platform and the reach you get from your business page is dwindling by the day. On average your posts will reach just 3% of the people who like or follow your page.
To put that in perspective, if you have 500 followers for your business page then you will be lucky if 15 of them get to see anything that you post. Changes are also coming to Facebook where business pages are going to get a place of their own, a separate page or news-feed. This means that even people who have liked your page will now have to choose to go onto the other “business section” to see anything that may have been posted by the business that they have liked.
Instagram is owned by Facebook and so changes are being made there too. Reach is falling across that site too unless you pay for it.
The other sites, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest etc are now so crowded that unless you know what you are doing there is little likelihood of your post being seen by anyone at all. Pretty much every platform now wants you to pay to promote your business, and to be honest they have a point.
Each platform has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars becoming the success that they are today. Why should you just freeload and get to use them to promote your business without it costing you anything? But I get that you can’t afford it.
So how can you market your small business without paying?
There are a few things you can do that will help with your reach and getting noticed online.
You also need to choose one social media platform and get good at it. There is not much point being on 6 different sites and not doing any of them very well. Free promotion takes TIME and EFFORT, lots of both. You are going to have to be prepared to work really hard on your promoting until you begin to get noticed.
You need to build up a following. To be honest, it doesn’t matter which platform you choose, you are going to need to build up a loyal fan base, those who read and share your content. If you are going to reach more people for free you are going to need a lot of help. These followers will be your marketing machine and you need to attract and nurture them.
The bigger following you have, the better reach you will have. The better reach you have, the more people will get to see your posts. The more people who get to see your posts, the more chance of them liking, sharing or commenting on them. The more likes, shares and comments you get, the more platforms such as Facebook will reward you and promote to more people for you as they see it as a benefit to THEIR users.
So that brings us back to content.
If you are not going to invest cash for marketing then you are going to have to invest time. There is no way around this. My clients are constantly asking me how they can start getting customers faster. I tell them the same thing I am telling you now.
There are things that you can do to get your business making money faster but there is a process you MUST follow. You cannot reach the end result without going through the process. Remember learning to ride a bike or learning to drive or swim? It’s the same thing. You have to learn the basics and then you can start to develop your strategies. If you try and cut corners it will end up costing you even more time.
You can get a copy of my FREE Business Basics Guide here which will show you exactly how to set your business up for success online.
The content you create for your posts and blog should be of a good quality. It should speak to your ideal customer. It should also do one of these 3 things:
Your customer will not want to buy your product or service, no matter how good it is. They are only interested in what it will do for them. You don’t buy a drill, you buy the means to make a hole.
Each piece of content that you create should also try and do 1 of these 5 things:
Inform them of the benefits of your product or service or talk to them about something that has happened in the industry recently.
Inspire them by asking or challenging them to do something. Give them some steps to take that will help them achieve a small goal. Tell a story (this could be your story) or show them some statistics or results of surveys.
Educate them by giving a little bit away about how you solve their problem or alleviate their pain. Maybe give them some healthy eating tips if you are dietitian or some exercises if you are a personal trainer or some business tips if you are a business coach.
Entertain them by showing them some funny videos that are related to your product or service. Tell a funny story or share an entertaining case study. You can find all sorts of quotes and funny captions on the internet that you could use in your posts. Be careful about copyright and permission though. See this post for a list of sites that you can download completely license free images for free.
Promote your business to them by making offers or giving away “freebies” to entice them to try you out. Although this is the most important content of all, it should really only be one in 5 of your posts as you don’t want to be seen as a hard seller or spammer.
It is this process that will help you to build a relationship with your potential customer. No one usually buys from someone they don’t know and have never met. The internet is full of potential customers but you must first convince them that you are someone they can trust, and worthy of their hard earned cash.
To get a FREE 7 day email series on exactly how to build your relationships online please complete the form below.
Now that you have enticed them to try you out for free they will be more inclined to like you coz we all like something for nothing right? Then as you follow up with them you are giving them the opportunity to get to know you. Then you offer them a bit more information, education, inspiration or whatever and they begin to trust you.
Once they know like and trust you they are ready to buy from you. Only now should you be making your offer to them. It’s like the old saying “slowly, slowly catchy monkey”.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and found it interesting and informative. If so, I would really appreciate you sharing it on your social media sites so that others can get to know this information too. There are some common social links below so please click away. Thank you and good luck.

1. WordPress Websites. If you can use Microsoft Word then you can build a WordPress website – Yes really! These simple templates mean that you just need to be able to copy and paste or drag and drop. You can choose from thousands of FREE themes, or upgrade for for just a few pounds to a theme that lets you customize it more to your taste. Just choose your domain and hosting service and off you go.
Well, in the spirit of absolute honesty, there is a little more to it than that, but not that much. I have put a whole post together explaining it all and there is a video tutorial available that will literally take you through the process step by step. Just click below to find out more.

2. FREE Images. If you are anything like me, you will spend hours trying to find the right image for your blog post or social media piccy. Often, after hours of searching, I will find one that I think is suitable and download it, only to find that when I upload it to my website or Facebook page it is blurry and no good. AAAARGGGHHH! Here are some links to fantastic resources for high definition images that are license free and free to download. No further explanation needed for this one.
3. Free Graphic Design Tool. This is probably my personal favourite, and one that I use pretty much every day for something or other. I am the least creative person on the planet and it makes even my stuff look good.
This tool lets you create social media images quickly by using templates that are the correct size etc. for your social media site. You can upload your own images to it to make it personal, you can add text (and any number of fonts) you can also use your own colours so that you can maintain your branding.
It has loads of images to choose from that are either free or just $1 (70p at today’s rate). It also has inbuilt tools that help you to centre things and make a professional job of your creations. Great for bloggers and content writers.

4. Video creation tool. Videos can be created straight from your blog post. This video making tool is soooo simple that anyone can use it. Here’s how it works…
Honestly, that’s pretty much all there is to it. You can create a video in less that 5 minutes and you DON’T have to suffer the indignity of sitting in front of a video camera to make great eye catching and engaging content for your Facebook page or other social media site

5. Free Auto-responder. An auto-responder is an email service that will fully automate your emails. It will help you to create a list of people who are interested in what you have to say or sell. It will help you to respond to those people completely on autopilot.
It is really simple to use, again templates are offered and if you can copy and paste and use Microsoft Word then you won’t have much difficulty in using this gem of a tool. Imagine being able to reply to people who have asked for a download that you are offering and follow up with them for as long as you want to WITHOUT you having to do anything other than setting up an email sequence. This service is offered by Mailchimp and is FREE to use.

6. Free Screen Capturing Tool. Would you like to be able to quickly and easily capture images straight from your laptop? Would you love to be able to create quick little videos of what you are doing on your laptop to share with and show to others?
This tool is so easy and I use it most days. You download the tool to your laptop and it sits on the desktop screen ready to be used. To open it you simply click on it and either lassoo the part of the screen you want to capture or start a recording of your voice and screen. This is great for short videos on how to do things.
The free version lets you record for up to 5 minutes at a time but you can record unlimited videos. You then share them on Screen Cast and can watch them there or embed them into posts on your blog or social media sites. This is how I captured the image of it below.

7. Online meetings and webinars. If you have coaching calls, meetings, conference calls or webinars as part of your business then you can host them all from Zoom.
Zoom lets you schedule meetings and have up to 100 people attend for free. If you want to run webinars then you do need to pay a small monthly subscription. This tool is easy to use and you can schedule a meeting in one minute. You then get a link to the meeting that you can send out to people who you would like to attend. There is also an option to invite your attendees straight from the scheduling screen.
The process is so simple and it talks you through how to set everything up so you just follow the instructions and you can't go wrong.
The webinars are recorded to your device or to the cloud or you can choose both. This means that people who couldn't attend live can watch the video later. I made extra sales from my last webinar by sharing the link and letting people watch it in their own time.

8. Online meeting and screen sharing. Most people are familiar with Skype, but they don't know that it can be used for hosting meetings and that you can share your screen or others can share their screen with you. This is great for coaching or training calls as you can literally see their screen and talk them through what to do.
To use the screen sharing option just click on the + sign and choose screen sharing. Simple & FREE
Get it here >>> https://www.skype.com/
9. Boosting your blog posts. There are numerous ways online of boosting your blog posts so that more people get to find and read them, but one of my favourites is Pingomatic.
Pingomatic is a collection of subscription based magazines that people sign up to. If you tell Pingomatic that you have written a post it will let its subscribers know so anyone who is interested in your subject matter will be able to visit your blog to have a look.
This simple tool is great for generating traffic to your site and getting eyes on your blog.
Get it here>>> https://pingomatic.com/
10. See whose viewed your posts. Knowing that your efforts are not in vain is what will keep you motivated to keep writing your great content. If you can see that you are getting hundreds, if not thousands of readers to your blog posts then you will be encouraged to keep going and to keep getting better at what you do.
But how can you see quickly, easily and for free who is visiting each of your posts without having to go to Google Analytics or other analytics site - remember this is for technophobes so you probably don't even know what Google analytics is right?
Well the good news is that if you have a WordPress website then you can get a totally free plugin called Simple Post Counter. This is what it looks like...
Once you install it onto your website it will show you how many people have visited each post. You can see it here... It just adds a views column to your dashboard so that you can instantly see how many views each of your posts have received without having to look anywhere else.
This is great for knowing which content is more popular too so that you can create more of it.
There is a video tutorial available for just £9.99 to show you exactly how to add this useful plugin to your site, but please check out our offer at the end of the post before clicking.
11. Turn your blog posts into e-Books. This tool is brilliant for those who want to create e-books from their content. It makes the process so simple that you can literally create your e-book in about 5 - 10 minutes once you have your content.
The drag and drop system makes it really easy for any technophobe to use. There are also great tutorials online on how to make the most of this tool. Of course, there are paid options but you can create a very professional looking e-book for FREE using this tool.
Get it here >>> Designrr.com
12. Photo editing tool. I don't know about you but I get really confused with Photoshop. I think it's just too sophisticated for me as I'm not that creative and there are way too many things on there to get me into trouble.
This little tool however, is both free and easy to use. It has far less options than photoshop but it does let you resize images, make changes to them so that they are more personal or individual and do the usual highlighting, cropping and turning things around. (as you can clearly see, I'm not a photo editing expert)
This is the one you are looking for...

Are you starting your business later in life? I know how you feel. I did too. I’m Lynne and I’m 53 as I write this post. I started my business about 5 years ago so I was about 47. I remember how lost I felt as I looked around all the social media sites and the website tools. I didn’t know where to start or what to do first, second or next.
To be honest with you, I stalled for a long time. I hadn’t really used Facebook, only for checking on the kids, and I had no idea about Instagram and I didn’t think I was posh enough for LinkeIn and what on earth was Pinterest?
I know you are probably a little more educated than I was back then, but let me tell you, it’s a tough old road when you are trying to get something going online.
We are constantly bombarded with people telling us how they make this a month and that a month and how you can easily do it too. Yes, I got sucked into all that rubbish and fell for loads of things that really just cost me money and slowed me down.
Don’t get me wrong, I did meet some fantastic mentors, some of whom I will introduce you to a little later. But for the longest time I was just bouncing around trying to figure out what I needed to do first.
I thought “I need a website, everyone needs a website right?” I hadn’t thought about branding myself at this point (I don’t actually think I thought you could brand just a little old me) and I hadn’t thought about how I was going to attract my customers.
I think I just thought that if I got a website and put some cool stuff on it then people would come and buy what I had to offer. Oh boy was I wrong. Two years later I was still trying to get enough customers to make my business viable.
I think I was terrified to ask for help too because when I did, they answered me in language I didn’t understand. They talked about SEO, optimised posts, insights and analytics and split testing. I had no idea what any of this meant and I felt pretty stupid having to keep asking.
So I tried to find things out on YouTube. At first this was great. A place where I could find the answer to any question I could think of – and a nice video to explain it all to me. Then I realised my huge mistake.
Although youTube is great, it contains loads and loads of outdated stuff. What I was learning on YouTube was now either out of date, didn’t exist any more or was completely banned! Oh NO! What’s a girl to do now?
I think that it was around this time that I realised I needed proper help. I needed professional people who had achieved what I wanted to achieve who could help me. I started looking around for such a person or people.
After about 6 months of searching and due diligence, I found 2 guys, who were to be not only my mentors; but the people who were responsible for completely changing my life. I will get into that in a bit.
I realised that if I was going to build a proper online business, I was going to need to find up to date, authentic and compliant ways of doing things. I needed to look and act professional as I wanted to be an online life coach. I couldn’t be seen to be doing things that weren’t allowed or that were out of date or looked silly.
I needed my clients to trust in me so that they could believe I could help them with their life issues. I needed my website to look good. I needed to be able to promote myself on social media. I needed to be able to use Facebook (Lord help me!).
So let me introduce you to 2 lovely lads. Yes, I know they are young looking (actually they are young) but they spoke to me like a real person, they weren’t patronising, they spent hours getting to know me and what I wanted to achieve and they then spent about 2 years guiding me through the quagmire of the online world, until I became the business I am today.
These lads, along with their amazingly patient and helpful staff helped me with setting up my first ever website, getting my first sale online, understanding attraction marketing and teaching me how to build lead magnets (the things that encourage people to leave their email addresses).
I have introduced you to them so that you now know of reputable people who could potentially help you too. They offer free training as well as paid programmes and you can get to work with them for a whole month totally free by clicking on their picture and signing up for their free month’s trial. You have nothing to lose as if you decide they are not for you at the end of the month you simply let them know and walk away, no questions asked. Aloso, any training material you receive during this month, you get to keep – wow.
They own the Six Figure Mentors, The Digital Academy and many other online marketing agencies and companies. They are the very best at what they do, and they also work with the very best which enables them to keep showing you the up to date and proper way to do things. (I operate in an honest way and would advise that if you did sign up with these lovely lads, I would get paid a small commission for introducing you to them, so thank you in advance)
Anyway, enough about them and back to you.
I wanted to be able to show you that just because we are older, we are by no means less able or capable than our younger counterparts when it comes to all things technical. I wanted to offer a place where you could come for inspiration, help, support, hints and tips as well as practical help and support with larger projects.
I have, over the years, amassed a huge amount of free tools that will help make your business look more professional, appear more individual, look more brand aligned and attract more leads. I have put these resources into a page on my website that you can apply for access to below. Just pop your email address in the box and I will give you the password to access the library and all the cool things within it.
Just as an example, I have a tool for creating outstanding images like the one I have used in this post. A tool for creating little videos of your posts, for free. Places where you can go to and get completely free images to use which are not licensed by anyone. I have also found little tools that help you to record your screen and create training videos for free.
There is also a “How To” section that talks you through loads of technical things on your WordPress website and social media sites such as how to add plugins or how to add pages to your site. I have created some short videos as well to help you out. Just pop your email in the box below to get instant access to this fantastic resource.
If like me you have no idea where to start or what to do first then you might want to download my FREE Business Basics Guide which is a simple 7 step system that tells you how you should structure your business from day one to maximise on all the visits your website and social media are going to get.
If you set things up right at the start then you will not only be able to generate leads more quickly and convert them into sales, but you will also save the time it will take later to change everything around in your business, trust me, I’ve been there.
Anyway, here is where you can download the free guide. It also has a few extra tips on what to avoid that will slow you down and what mistakes most new business owners make so that you can avoid those too.

Automating your business is what is going to help you to grow and scale in the future. Having everything running on auto-pilot means that you can get on with the important task of earning money. But how exactly do you go about automating your business?
To be honest, there are several ways, but today we are going to talk about one major one. This one will take ALL the stress out of generating leads and following up with them. It will help you to build relationships with your potential customers and it will give you an exact report on who is opening your emails, who is clicking and who is just not that into you.
(Please note that this content contains affiliate links which means that if you purchase anything from these links I will receive a small commission at no cost to you whatsoever.).
Mailchimp is an auto-responder service. This means that it builds lists of people who have subscribed to your newsletters, opt in forms or landing pages and left their email addresses. It adds these email addresses to a list that you create within Mailchimp.
Once the list is created then you can send emails to this list of people automatically. Yes, okay, you have to create the initial emails, but once they are set up then each time someone gets added to your list (ie they fill in their email address on one of your opt-ins) then the email that you created gets sent to them automatically.
This means that your subscribers (people who leave their email addresses) can be added to your list 24/7 and that you can respond to them 24/7 without even having to get out of bed.
Gathering email addresses is VERY important when you are a new business. You will hear about email lists everywhere online – but offline companies use them too. Think about your loyalty card with Boots, Sainsbury’s. Cost Co etc. Do you really think it is given to you so that you can save money or stock pile points for money off some future purchase? No, of course it’s not – sorry to disappoint if you thought it was.
The point of loyalty cards is to capture information from you as you shop so that they can market to you more effectively. For example, it’s no good sending you a money off coupon for dog food if you have never purchased dog food from them in the past. It would be very good to send you a money off voucher for skin cream if you purchase this regularly from them.
So, knowing how to get in touch with your customer is one thing, but knowing what offer to put in front of them is massive…
Imagine you are a health and fitness coach and you are looking for clients to take part in your up and coming online coaching course. Wouldn’t it be useful if you knew before-hand who might be interested in this course so that you could spend your time marketing to them, and not to Aunty Betty who has just had a hip replacement?
Of course it would. And Mailchimp helps you to do exactly this.
First you need to create an opt-in form on your website or social media platform advertising something to do with online fitness courses – perhaps a mini version of your full version. Anyone who opts in and leaves their email address is obviously interested in an online fitness course right?
So now you have a list of people who would potentially be interested in your full course that you can start to build a relationship with. The relationship building is important, it’s a bit like dating, you have to go slowly if you want them to stick around for the main event – if you get my drift…
Your first email would be a welcome email that introduces yourself. You might want to tell them a bit about how you got started in your business and what you are trying to achieve for your clients. DON’T sell anything in this first email. You want to get them to know you a little bit first.
A day or so later you might send the second email which might be a list of helpful exercises to speed up metabolism. This is to show that you genuinely want to help them. You are prepared to give them something for free that they will get value from. They will like you for this. You are now building a relationship.
Give them a week then email them again. Ask them how they are getting along with the exercises and perhaps ask for feedback so that you can help others more – encourage engagement and contact with you.
A few days later send them some dietary tips on how to detoxify their system after a weekend of debauchery or (something similar). They trust you now because the last free thing you sent them was of value and worked for them. They are now very likely to try out your next offering.
Perhaps another week later you send them the offer to join your “main event” the online training programme that this has all been building up to.
So all this sending out emails every few days and weeks seems like a bit of a big job doesn’t it? Well that’s were the Mailchimp Muscles come in. You don’t have to send these emails out because Mailchimp will do it automatically once someone has been added to your list.
So to recap. Someone completes your opt-in offering them a short trial of your full course. Once they have completed the form on your website it will go through to Mailchimp. Mailchimp will add it to the list that you created especially for these opt-ins.
They will send out the welcome email that you created and set up to be sent out once someone was added to the list.
You create a series of emails (called a campaign) which you can set to go out whenever you like. You would maybe set the second one to go out one day after the previous one. You might set the third one to go out 7 days after the previous one to give them time to try out the exercises.
You would then set the next one to go out a few days later and then perhaps the dietary tips one week after that.
After a couple of weeks, or maybe a month, it’s time to hit them with your “real” offer. You want them to join your online health and fitness coaching programme and pay full price.
The chances of them joining this when they first came across you online was pretty remote because they didn’t know the first thing about you or your programme, or, more importantly, what you could do for them.
The fact that you have spent a month getting to know them and letting them get to know, like and trust you, means that you have a much higher probability of being able to sell that course to them now.
And how long has it taken you to build up that relationship? ZERO time. Once you set up the initial email and the follow up campaign, the rest just went out automatically.
I know, I thought this too when I first heard about it. But I can tell you that there IS NO CATCH. Even better than that, it’s free to sign up and use Mailchimp for everything I have just told you about. There are other similar auto-responder services out there but I only recommend ones that I have tried and trust and this one beats all the others I’ve tried over the years.
Just click on the little chimp picture above which will take you straight to the sign up page. Create your free account and start building your list today. It couldn’t be easier or free-er 🙂
How I Regularly Get Over 1,000 Views on My Blog Posts is no real mystery and the best thing is that you don't have to have any special skills or pay any money. This is all stuff that you can do right now to improve your viewing figures.
Let's face it, it's pretty soul destroying to sit for hours writing something that you KNOW is going to be of value to someone out there. You do the research, find the images, sort the keywords and remember your tags but you still don't seem to get as many viewers as others bloggers claim to be getting.
I suppose you could ask if they are making it up, and that would be a fair question. Here's a copy of the dashboard of one of my blogs lynne-thomas.com where I offer tips and strategies to new business owners to get them off to a quicker start in their businesses. If you look along the top you can see where it says "views" in the title.
If you are looking for where you can see your views you probably won't find it as you will most likely need to add a plugin to be able to see this. I have written a post on exactly how to do this here, it is really simple to do & there's a video that shows you step by step how to do it. This post to date has had 1,376 views as you can see here...
I created this post a while ago as you can see, it is dated 2016. You probably don't want to wait 2 years for 1,000 viewers to find your blog post, and I don't blame you.
Fortunately, I have figured out a way to get that amount of viewers much more quickly and this is what I am going to share with you today.
This is my brand new blog for my Thomas Jones Consultants Company. As you can see these 2 posts were published on 12th December 2017 and 24th January 2018 - today is 9th March as I am writing this post.
A new blog needs time to get established as I'm sure you are figuring out. You need Google to like it and to promote it for you but for that to happen you needs lots of visitors to it right? Vicious circle AAARRGH!
Well there are a few simple ways that you can get traffic to your site that is 100% organic and that come from established other sites.
There is a free tool called Pingomatic. It is a list of online publications that have subscribers. Within these publications are various topics, industries and segments. Subscribers have subscribed to these publications because they are interested in the content that appears in them. Each time a new article is published, or they are notified of a new blog post being published, they will notify their list of subscribers. These subscribers will then be given the link straight back to your blog post.
This is a completely free system. You just register with them and then whenever you publish a post let them know and they in turn will let their subscribers know. He presto! New visitors & without having to do anything except paste your post title and URL into a box. Click here to see a short video of it in action where I am "Pinging" this post.
Another simple way of getting more viewers is to send your posts as articles to online magazines such as Ezine and Issuu. I would only recommend this if you are new blogger and need to get some viewers to your blog a it has been suggested that if used long term it can harm your SEO (the ranking algorithm that search engines use to rank your site).
Again, these are free to register with and once you have created your post (before you publish it on your blog) submit it to the magazine for publication. Once it has been reviewed and accepted it is then published in the magazine and their subscribers are made aware of it.
There is a box for you to include your link back to your website and blog so if someone reads the article in the magazine and they want to get to know you better, they can click the link and come straight back to your site.
Ezine even give you a banner to include on your blog to show that you are a published blogger. How cool is that?
https://ezinearticles.com/ Just follow the link and click on Join
After a couple of months just post to your blog.
Make sure you are using the tags on the right hand side of your blog post (if using a WordPress site). The tags are a way of Google finding your post when people key in keywords into the search bar.
For example, if you are blogging about weight loss you could use tags such as Weight, diet, dieting, low calorie, carb free etc. If someone then keys into Google "low calorie diets" your post is more likely to be shown as Google can see what it contains and what keywords you are ranking for.
The tags option will already be on your posts but not on your pages. You can add it here too but you will have to add a plugin to be able to do it. See here how to add a plug in and the one you are looking for looks like this...
Once you have activated the plugin you will be able to use it exactly the same as the one on your posts, it will appear in the same place too. Go through and add your tags to every page of your blog "about me" "contact" and any other pages you have created.
Make sure you put all your blog posts onto Pinterest. Make sure you use a Pinterest friendly image and an eye catching title or caption. For a free graphics design tool, free images and free video tools make sure you ask for access to my Resource Library - there is a request form just above this paragraph.
Pinterest is growing every day. Thousands of people use it for inspiration and support. If you have a product or service that you know someone needs and would get value from then write about it in your blog and pin it on Pinterest.
Once someone comes across your pin, there is a link straight back to your blog where they can read the full post.
Make sure you include some images and keep your paragraphs short. If you can link to other posts within your post all the better as it keeps people on your blog and they get to learn what you do and how you can help them.
Pinterest is totally free to join and it is really easy to create boards and start pinning. This is an incredibly easy way of growing your viewers.
There is another way to really get viewers to your post, but it isn't that simple so can't really be covered in this post but fear not, I have you covered with a training video. See below for details.
This method involves using Google itself to rank you. If Google doesn't know that your blog exists then it can't rank it. Your blog or website first needs to be verified by Google so that you can prove that you own it.
A blog that is verified by Google can be ranked. This means that you can get your blog to page one or two of Google for free.
Once you tell Google that your blog exists and have got it verified to prove that you own it, you can then ask Google to read every post you publish and then rank it. It takes 2 minutes.
You submit your blog post to Google for its bots to go and check out. It will look at the content, the images, the keywords and tags that you have used and rank it according to these things, but the real magic is this...
Lets say you are selling hand made pottery. You write a post about your pottery and include some images to show it off. You use keyword in the caption of the images and you also use them in the alt text. You make sure your heading and tags also contain keywords such as Pottery, hand-made, bespoke, gifts etc.
Now lets imagine that someone is looking for a gift for mothers day. They key in hand made gifts into the search engine. As your post includes these words AND Google knows that your post is out there and has ranked it for these keywords, it will show your post as a possible option for that potential customer. This could mean that you will appear right there on Page One of Google and totally for FREE.
I have done this hundreds of times. I have a post about Goggles for extended eye lashes. Check it out. Anyway, the point is you can do this too. All you need to do is get your site or blog verified and then you can ask Google to rank it, rank your posts and promote your blog for you!!!
If you would like to get your site verified in less than 5 minutes, click below to download my instructional video for just £9.99 and really get the party started!
Once Google knows your blog is live it can start showing it to the world. This is where you will really start to notice the difference. Once Google gets involved with your blog there will be no limit to what you can achieve with it. 🙂
I hope that you have found this post informative. If you did then I would love it if you would share it with others. I have included some popular social media icons below.
Hello again, I hope you are well and that your business is coming along nicely.
Today I wanted to talk to you about growing your business. If you’re still at the very beginning of your journey then get my FREE guide on how to structure your business so that you get the most out of every visitor to your website and social media platforms. Download my Business Basics Guide Here.
it will talk you through a simple 7 step system that will make sure you have everything set up in your business to maximise sales opportunities. Once you have everything in place, the whole lead generation and follow up can be done completely on auto-pilot. How cool is that?
The next step is to start thinking about what you want to achieve from your business. Are you happy to plod along and earn a couple of thousand a month or do you want to GO LARGE?
How do I GO LARGE?
For some people, earning just enough from their business is not enough. They are looking for a lifestyle change. They are looking to be able to afford those luxuries in life and to be able to work less and live more. Is this you?
If this is you then I have an amazing opportunity for you. The same guys that helped me achieve my success are available to you too. My mentors Stuart Ross (UK) and Jay Kubassek (USA) are offering mentorship from as little as $25pm (that’s about £18 at today’s rate). But even more amazingly, they are letting you work with them for a whole month FREE so that you can check them out and see whether they are a good fit for you and your business. (I am in the business of operating ethically and I would advise that if you do decide to join my mentors and sign up to their programme, I will receive a small commission so thank you in advance).
These guys created the Six Figure Mentors, the Digital Academy and a whole range of online support and training programmes to help people just like you and me with building a profitable business fast.
Their knowledge is amazing and they earn millions each year and work with some of the best online entrepreneurs in the world.Apart from me (I’m very humble compared to some of their students as you will see here) they have trained the Facebook experts Guy and Ilan Ferdeman of Satori Prime (who I have also worked with & love dearly), and Greg & Fiona Scott from The Laptop Lifestyle (who I also worked with, they helped me to learn the intricacies of advertising on Bing and Google).
I can honestly say that without them, their knowledge, their encouragement and their amazing training programme, I would not have the fantastic business that I have today.
Although I wasn’t entirely sure where I was going when I joined them, the skills I learned and the knowledge I have gained has been invaluable in my business as a coach and mentor.
For those of you who know me, or who read my blog regularly, you will know that I am passionate about 2 things 1. Building my business and creating my ideal lifestyle and 2. Helping other people to do the same.
If there is one thing that I have learnt on my quest for success, it is that you need help to get to where you want to be. You need to find people who are already achieving what you want to achieve and get them to show you how they did it.
To GO LARGE means to think big. You need to want to achieve more than you ever thought would be possible from your business. I know this can be hard to do because we are conditioned to think in a certain way and have been brought up to have certain “limiting” expectations of ourselves.
I am here to tell you that needn’t be the case. You can do more than you ever thought possible. You can earn more than you ever dreamed of and you can have the amazing lifestyle that you want for yourself and your family.
I am living proof. I have created a successful business by following their teachings. I have my coaching business where I offer support to new businesses, an online programme where I offer support to people who want to grow and scale their business, an Amazon business where I sell products of my own and an affiliate business where I sell products for other people for commission.
So if you want to learn from the very best for a tiny amount then sign up with them today
I promise you won’t be disappointed – and there’s the opportunity to work with them for a month for free to make sure you like what they have they have to offer. There is also a full no quibble money back guarantee so if you do decide to continue with them after them month is up, you can still get your money back at any time. So NO RISK to you at all.
You will start learning immediately with the first in a series of training videos produced by Stuart Ross. Where you decide to go afterwards is entirely up to you.
Yep honestly. You will get all this for your £17 per month ($25). I told you they were fantastic. Create your FREE account now! Just click on the button below and get a kick-ass start for your business here!SIGN ME UP

Goals aren’t just for footballers, although many people don’t realise the power of goals. They have no idea that without them, they are just floundering aimlessly, trying to achieve something without really knowing how to go about getting it. Goals make the difference between wishing and having!
Why are goals so important?
A Goal is sort of like a road map or satellite navigation system. If you set off on a journey without really knowing how to get there then chances are you are going to lost somewhere along the way.
If you come to a road closure or diversion then you are going to be turned around with no real idea of how to get back to the road you started off on (or is that just me 🙁 )
If you have a road map or sat nav in your car then you can set your destination before you leave home. You will tell it precisely where you want to go and it will work out a precise route to get you there. If you do come across any diversions or road closures, it will simply recalculate the next most direct route to your destination. In other words – IT GETS YOU THERE.
Your goals operate in the same way. If you set a specific goal that has enough detail in it about what you want to achieve you will have a clear idea of where you are going and where you want to end up (your destination). It will also help you to stay on course when diversions come along.
What do I mean by diversions?
Diversions are unexpected things that crop up along the route. They may be things like a new shiny object or strategy to tempt you off your path. They might be life things that crop up that prevent you from working on your goals for a little while. They might be health related or family related or just about anything else.
The point is, at some place along the road you are going to get side-tracked. You are going to go off on a tangent and take a few wrong turns. You are going to end up at a few dead ends and few side roads that take you nowhere near where you want to be. Your goals will make sure that you always get back on track and back to the route that will lead you to your destination.
When I started my business I was off course so many times because I kept wanting to try out new strategies to see if I could reach my destination faster – these diversions actually slowed my progress down by years. I hadn’t set proper goals.
When I was trying to lose weight I lost a bit and then put it back on plus a bit. I was always trying to find the easiest diet which allowed all the things I needed to give up to lose weight. I hadn’t set proper goals.
There will always be diversions in life. People or things that are not going to help you but you think they might at the time. You will be distracted by their promises or their offers of help and you will spend the next month or so trying to get their particular “thing” to work.
I know this because I was once there myself, before I discovered the power of goal setting.
How do I set goals?
Goal setting is a skill like anything else. This skill can be learnt but it takes time and you need patience. Remember when you were learning to ride a bike, or learning to drive or learning to swim? Goal setting is similar to that. You will have a few disasters before you begin to get it right but when you get it right your world changes.
To create great goals they must be SMARTIE. Here’s what I mean by SMARTIE goals…
S – Specific. They need to be as specific as possible. for example “I want to double my income” is not going to be as powerful as “I want to be earning £40K instead of £20K by the end of May 2019.
M – Measurable. You need to create goals that have measurable outcomes. For example “I will feel better this time next year” is going to be difficult to measure. If, however, you said “By July 2019 I will be healthier than I am today by being fitter and being able to swim 20 lengths” This is now measurable, as you will know whether you can indeed swim 20 lengths.
A – Achievable. The goals that you set for yourself need to be achievable if they are going to be powerful. If you have a current income of £30k per year and your goal is to be a millionaire by next month then this is probably not achievable. If, however you say “by December 2023 I will have become a millionaire by learning new skills and putting these to use to increase my salary incrementally over the next 5 years” then this is going to be a much more powerful goal as you are more likely going to be able to achieve it.
R- Realistic. The goals that you set for yourself need to be realistic. They have to be something that you are going to be able to do. If you don’t have a doctorate in Neuroscience then you are unlikely to be carrying out brain surgery any time soon.
T – Time-bound. You need to put an end date on your goals. If you give yourself forever to achieve something then it will take forever to achieve it. You need to state when you will achieved something by. You can also give yourself an extension later if you need to but at least you will have something to work towards to begin with and this will create the urgency that you need to drive you forward.
I – Imagination. I like to put some imagination into my goals. I want to imagine what it will be like when I have achieved it. My weight goals I imagined how I would look in my clothes. My money goals I imagined what I would spend the extra cash on. Imagining already having the outcome is a powerful driving force and will also help your subconscious to come up with ideas to help you too.
E – Emotion. Attaching emotion to your goals is also going to make them far more powerful. I like to thing about how I will FEEL when I achieve my goal. How will it HELP my confidence, how will it boost my self-esteem, how will it LOOK in my hands or in the house or on the driveway. Being able to feel the outcome before you have achieved it will help you stay motivated and focused on your end result.
I’ve tried goal setting before and failed miserably
Every single person on the planet who has tried something has failed miserably at their first attempt. Remember learning to walk? No you probably don’t but you will have seen your own children or those of others taking their first wobbly steps. Mostly they just fall down but every single one of us got back up and tried again – and again – and again until we could do it. You don’t see a planet full of failures do you? We have a planet full of success.
The only time we fail is when we give up. It doesn’t matter how many goes at something it takes until you get it, you just need to get it in the end – and then you are successful.
We are not used to seeing the trying phase and this is why we think we can’t do things. We tend to only take notice of someone once they have become successful. You go to the weight loss clinic and are looked after by someone who has already lost the weight. You learn to drive by taking lessons from someone who has already passed their test. You only get to see the top footballers, tennis players and golfers on TV, we don’t tend to get coverage of people TRYING to become successful do we?
This is the main reason why people think they are not successful and it is the main reason why I try to change their viewpoint and show them that they are indeed successful at many things. Those things would have taken some practice before they became accomplished and your next goal will be no different.
You will need to go through a lot of getting it wrong before you start to get it right. How may times you get it wrong before you give up will be a personal thing and different for everyone, but know this, once you give up and stop trying – that is when you become a failure and not one second before.
Can goals help me with anything in life?
You can set a goal for just about anything you can think of. If you can imagine it then you can create it (the words of Walt Disney and others, no one seems to know who uttered it first) but they were all correct.
Imagine something you would love to achieve by the summer, or the end of the year or in 3 years time. Now write that goal down and put it somewhere you can see it every day. Remember to make it SMARTIE. Make sure you include how you intend to make it happen otherwise you are just wishing. Repeat the goal to yourself every day at least 10 times.
You will notice that you start to think about things that will help you in your quest. Things you may never have considered before. This is your subconscious at work. I go into this in much greater detail in my free online Goal Conquering System but essentially your brain is a question solving tool. It is programmed to answer your questions and it can’t help but do so. If you start asking it why you are fat it will say things like because its your bone structure or genetics or it may be more honest and say that you eat too much. If, however you ask it how you can lose weight it will answer you much more constructively by presenting options for you to try – weight watchers, join a gym, go for a walk every day etc. etc.
Asking the right questions will lead to better answers. Better answers will lead to better options. Better options will lead to a better chance of you taking action and taking action is what will inevitably lead you to your goal.
I hope this has shown you why goals aren’t just for footballers and that you will be inspired to go out and create some great goals of your own. If you would like to know exactly how to create goals that you can’t help but achieve then grab a copy of my FREE mini online course. It’ll show you exactly how to write them, what to put in them to make them powerful and you can increase your income while you learn so win win. Grab your copy below…
